EVENT INFORMATION
1. What is Midwinter Bash?
Midwinter Bash is an annual semi-formal dance for Western New York high school students. The Midwinter Bash is “the original” mega teen event in WNY and should not be compared to anything else. Last school years event drew over 3,000 students from over 65 area high schools. This school year it will be even bigger and better!
2. When and where is it?
The event is being held at the Hearthstone Manor January 7 from 7:00 – 11:00 PM.
3. Who can attend?
Any person that is in high school can attend this event.
4. Will there be a performing artist present at the event?
As an added bonus there will be a performing artist but we won’t announce it until the night of the event.
5. What is the dress code?
This dance will enforce a semi-formal dress code. Ladies must wear dresses and gentlemen must wear a shirt and tie. No sneakers, jeans or hats are allowed to be worn.
6. Is it safe?
Of course, the ratio of help to students was 23/1 for 2009! We have addressed all the issues from last years event at our event in May. We expect the same atmosphere in November….no this one will be even better.
RULES
1. What if I have a game that night? Can I come after or will doors be closed?
We understand high school students are really busy and have things going on. We will be more than happy to accommodate any student that wants to come after.
2. Can I bring a bag to the dance?
You can but it has to be left with coat check. Additionally, all coats, large purses and bags must be checked for security purposes. There will be 5 different coat checks to ensure everyone gets their stuff in a reasonable amount of time.
3. Can I leave the dance and then re-enter?
NO! Once you leave you will not be allowed to re-enter. There will be security guards patrolling the parking lot at all times
4. Do I need to bring ID?
Please bring ID as you may be asked to show proof of your age. A high school ID is acceptable.
OTHER EVENT INFORMATION
1. Is there food or drink available?
There will be bottled water and pizza available for purchase.
2. Will there be anything else for sale?
Yes, we will be selling t-shirts and other merchandise.
3. Can I get my picture taken?
YES! We will have a professional photographer taking pictures.
4. What about limos?
Students that arrive in a limo through Zoladz will receive their own entrance and will bypass the regular general admission lines.
5. What can be done to make this event better?
We want your feedback and "what you have heard" to make the event run smoother. If we don't hear about it, we cannot fix it! Please pass on any suggestions.
6. Can I help sponsor this event?
